BRONX GIRLS SKATE X NIKE DUNK LOW SB 'MEL & KAVA'
The sneaker is a collaboration between Nike and the women's skate community Bronx Girls Skate. The model is dedicated to the founders of the project - Mel Ramirez and Kava Vasquez - who created Bronx Girls Skate to support the female skate culture of New York and open up more opportunities for female skaters.
The silhouette is based on the iconic model Nike SB Dunk and received a design inspired by the New York transportation system. The base is made up of a black upper with a white Swoosh, while bright accents of green, orange and red refer to the subway lines that skaters use to navigate the city.
Materials and comfort
The upper of the model is made of textured leather with a stingray-texture effect, which adds a premium look and increases the durability of the sneakers. A contrasting white Swoosh highlights the classic Dunk Low structure.
